My daughter was craving for something yummy and I wanted something tingling – the cheesy discs were perfect to satiate our taste-buds ! The guilt of piling on a few calories apart, the snacking was an enjoyable affair !

The discs can be made in a jiffy and spiced up/dressed as one wants and I found it the best way of eating slightly old bread.

What’s needed:-

  • Bread – 6 slices
  • Butter – 1 to 2 tbsp (i used amul butter)
  • Cheese – 1 chiplet – as required – grated
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Dried Rosemary – to taste (optional)
  • Oregano – to taste (optional)
  • Dried Chives – to taste (optional)
  • Tobasco Red Pepper Sauce – a few dribbles- to taste (i skipped this for my daughter)

How:-

Make small discs from the bread using a round cutter.Apply butter to the discs and set aside.

Ina small bowl mix the grated cheese, pepper, the dried herbs, and the tobasco sauce (if using).

Arrange the rings on a greased tray and pile up the cheese generously.

Grill @ 225 C until brown (that takes a few minutes).Serve Hot and Enjoy with Tomato Sauce or Soup or guzzle it down with a cooler/milk shake!

Dig in!
