Personally I am a huge fan of the buttermilk. This milk based liquid spiced right is just heavenly. Buttermilk?? – It is nothing but watered down curd/yogurt. Did I say it is low in calories not to mention immensely refreshing? Hence, it is no surprise that it is almost a ritual to gulp down a huge glass of the buttermilk during or after every meal, in my householdBesides, for the hot and sultry weather that makes up a good part of the year, the drink is an elixir of life and a perfect thirst quencher. While I religiously whip a jug of it almost everyday, having an easy carry pack of the same is welcome too.

I presume that it must be the same in many Indian households too. While there are many local dairies whipping this drink, there are quite a few well known brands in the market catering to this beverage. The growing demand for the same owing to a health conscious outlook of the current generation has urged new players to jump into the foray. And thus Britannia’s entry. In an attempt to replicate the homemade taste and flavour,  Britannia has launched Masala Chaas. The drink bursts with a touch of curry leaves, ginger and cumin and is immensely satisfying. This product also marks the entry of Britannia into the ready-to-use food division.

How does it  look ?

In an attractive and a convenient carry bottle of 150 ml, the beverage is a drink on the go!

How does it taste ?

Though it tries in giving a homemade feel, it does taste a trifle artificial.

What does it cost ?

It is priced at INR 15.

Serving Suggestion :-

Best served chilled, the very idea of the drink is grab and gulp. But you can pep up the same by garnishing it with mint leaves or adding a smattering of grated ginger. It will give the drink a more rustic feel.

Thumbs up to the drink as it :-

  • Saves time – Just open and drink.
  • Low in Calories
  • Healthy alternative to the carbonated drinks
  • Convenient packaging
Final Word :-

Drink healthy and Think Better is the right word. A cool experience alright. A rousing welcome to Britannia for boosting a healthy outlook. Hope to see it with a variety of flavours like mint, basil and nuts. Go ahead and indulge.

Thank you Britannia for sending me the beverage for a review. The views expressed here are completely my own.

I have been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never
found any interesting article like yours. It's pretty
worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you
did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
