CLIFFSIDE VIEW:
Watercolors in Chart Paper
This was one of my first paintings after I got a new set of watercolors.
This shows a girl sitting on the edge of a cliff, observing the moon and the stars on a peaceful night. The stars remind me, I can shine brighter than the previous day.

BREAK FREE:

I drew this horse when I was feeling at my lowest. It was the time when I felt like things weren’t going my way. I randomly pictured a horse and drew it.
A horse symbolizes courage, confidence and freedom. So this made me think, if a horse doesn’t stop going then why should I stop?

A FATHER’S LOVE:
Watercolor in A4 paper
This painting shows the relationship of a father and daughter.
I painted this when I heard my best-friend lost her father. I felt a huge guilt because I wasn’t there for her physically due to the pandemic. I cannot bear the fact of losing my father and hence this painting.

MET GALA OUTFIT:

This dress is my mom’s personal favorite. I got inspired by the Met Galas.
This dress has a feather collar, with a green jewel in the middle gracefully holding it. The top is made up of a beautiful silk material followed by a pearl lining and then finishes with a feather skirt. The color of the feathers used here and the silk top is an ombre of white and red.

KIMONO:
Watercolor in Cartilage Paper
The Kimono is a traditional Japanese garment and also the national dress of Japan. It is traditionally worn with a broad sash, called an obi, and is commonly worn with foot accessories such as zori (sandals) and tabi (socks).
Here the material is a reddish-pink silk garment with creeper-leaf pattern. There is a yellow obi around her waist. She is portrayed bare legged in this painting but this outfit is usually accompanied by wearing a tabi and zori.

AN ODE TO FASHION:

I was watching ‘The Intern’ and Anne Hathway’s look inspired me to paint this outfit.
The separates that finished the ensemble are: A top, A denim three-fourths, a trench coat and some.
The trench coat is a classic sunset color which is semi-formal. There is a black half-sleeve under the coat. Blue denim jeans three-fourths adds to the look. The ‘cherry on the ice-cream’ is black heels with a mini red bow signifying elegance.

TRADITIONAL WEARS:

The blouse is an ombre of blue and orange with a simple design on the corners. The edges are gold to give it a shining traditional look. The skirt is plain orange with a simple design in the edges and is bedecked with mini mirrors and has a long string to tie it up. It is finished with two pairs of gold bangles to give it a simple but elegant look.

ETHNIC GLAMOUR:
Color Pencils on A4 sheet
Inspired by one of my mother’s collection, this saree showcases a modern woman, embracing our traditional culture.
This is a yellow silk saree with blue lace borders. The black sequined blouse adds sharp contrast to the bright yellow giving it pizzazz. Simple but perfect.

INSPIRED ENSEMBLE:
Watercolors on Cartilage Paper
Inspired by one of the webinars I had attended recently, I painted a beautiful cocktail dress.
This dress can be carried off by any girl as it is a perfect mix of glamour and elegance.
The yellow dress is made of silk with lace on the bust side. The flowy outer layer is a shimmery satin material of a lighter yellow shade giving it a stunning finish.

VACATION GETAWAYS:
Watercolor on Cartilage paper
This was painted when my mom had the pandemic blues.
I remember she had told me that she wanted to get away and have a nice vacation and that is when I visualized this painting.
A nice beautiful sunset on a beach side would be an ideal vacation for her and for me.

BEHIND THE DOOR:
Color Pencil on Cartilage Paper
What is behind the doors, only the person looking at it will know. It varies from person to person and he/she/they need not share it.
It can be anything ranging from Happiness to Love to Sadness, etc. Whatever the person treasures the most.
The Picture portrays a brick house with windows, steps, bushes on the front. A basic drawing of the house, but what set it apart is the door. On observing it, we can notice it to be slightly open with a golden-yellow light emitted from it. This golden-yellow color was used to represent treasure. It’s what you treasure the most…

SIBLING BOND:
Watercolor on Cartilage paper
This painting holds really close to me as it showcases a sibling bond. I painted this to remind myself that no matter what I go through and how rough my time is, I know my little brother will always have my back and always be my partner in crime. I wouldn’t trade him for anything in this world.
He still has a lot to face in this world and this painting is my promise to protect him from everything no matter how hard it gets.
